About Capturing Courage

We believe in the power of photography to preserve life’s most precious moments. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we provide free bedside photography sessions for families with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

These moments—often filled with love, strength, and hope—become cherished memories that families can hold onto forever.

Founded in 2018, Capturing Courage was born from a deep desire to support families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Our professional volunteer photographers visit hospitals, capturing the quiet strength of NICU babies, the love of their families, and the beauty of every small milestone.

Each session lasts 20-40 minutes, and families receive access to a digital gallery of high-quality images—completely free of charge.

Our Mission

Beyond photography, our mission is to support NICU families and give them hope for the future through the gift of photography. Our complimentary photography sessions allow families the opportunity to celebrate their babies, a sense of normalcy, and something to look forward to during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
